Meet our Trainer !
Here at Kelsey House Doodles, we are passionate about ensuring our puppies receive the best foundation for their future.

Collaborating with a skilled trainer enables us to identify and focus on essential developmental skills that support and prepare our puppies to live calmly and confidently in our modern day world and build a foundation for a successful training journey ahead.

Around 7 weeks of age, our trainer Holly conducts thorough behaviour assessments to assist us to thoughtfully match each puppy with their new owners based on their family dynamics and needs.

Our commitment is to nurture happy, well-adjusted trainable companions that will bring joy to your home.

Holly Wright BSc(Hons)
Despite being born into a totally pet-free family, I have been obsessed with dogs my whole life. I made do with walking the neighbours Labrador and spending time with my friends’ Westies, until aged 14 I was finally able to bring home my own puppy, a Golden Retriever called Inker. She quickly became my shadow and cemented my love of dogs and the significance they were always going to play in my life.

Whilst at university completing a degree in Applied Animal Behaviour and training, I was able to secure a training position in a rescue, day-care and training facility and for over 3 years soaked in the hands-on experience and knowledge it had to offer. During that time I acquired my 2nd and 3rd dogs and began to dip my toe into the world of dog sports alongside gaining a diploma and experience in dog grooming, specialising in behaviour grooms with aggressive dogs.
Eventually the time was right for me to go self-employed and I built a client base offering dog walking, grooming and training which has continued since 2015.
With the extra flexibility I have been able to focus more time on training and competing with my personal working dogs (including Golden Retrievers, Border Collie and Rottweiler) in the challenging sport of Working Trials. After climbing up through the stakes I enjoy now competing at the highest level and winning ‘tickets’ to compete at the Kennel Club Championships, amongst the very best trialling dogs in the UK.
I am also a qualified judge, run workshops as a guest trainer for clubs and societies and partake in demos at Crufts and other dog shows. Alongside we still dabble in UK tracking dog, agility and obedience, take jobs in TV and film work (including Emmerdale, 8 out of 10 cats does Countdown and various commercials for the likes of Pets at Home, Harringtons and the BBC) and breed litters of purpose-bred performance dogs for the future.

Every second I spend in the company of dogs is just a joy, they have so much to teach us and I love soaking it in whilst supporting them to become the best versions of themselves.
Working with equally knowledgeable and passionate breeders like Kelsey House Doodles is food for the soul and I hope to continue it for many more years to come.
